With the Digital Rights Management option on you can add a Copyright to a file.

How to add Copyrights to files

1. Go to an asset's Information Page. 
2. Under the DRM section, find Copyright. Enter the copyright information.                                           
3. Click the checkmark to confirm.

Note: If a file already has a copyright attached to it Canto will import the XMP-based copyright data of a file that it previously contained upon upload. That information will appear in the Copyright field.

Note: There is a setting under Settings > Configuration Options > Digital Rights Management automatically inserts values from the Copyright fields as the Watermark if no Watermark is applied.
