Reports – Sharing

You can get a selective overview with the help of various reports that contain all sorts of information about the usage and performance of your Canto installation.


All available reports are displayed on the left, divided into several sections.

Most reports allow specifications to be made, which can be made above the diagrams/lists.


Note: If you want to view the entire data of a section, you can use Export > Export As CSV.


The Sharing section contains Report on how files from your Canto library are shared:


Requirement: You need to be signed in as a contributor with the corresponding privilege (view reports) or as an administrator in order to view the various types of reports.


App Switcher > Reports



Sharing Channels

Select Sharing Channels from the list of reports. You will then be directed to metrics that reflect your most used channel to share assets.


If you open the Export drop-down menu you can choose between Export As CSV and Export graph as Image.


You can also filter by specific file types and adjust the date (range) of the report.


Top Shared Files

Select Top Shared Files from the list of reports. You will then be directed to metrics that reflect your most shared assets. You can see a file's thumbnail by hovering over one of the bars. To open the image you have to click on the thumbnail.


If you open the Export drop-down menu you can choose between Export As CSV and Export graph as Image. Below the graph you will find a list view of your Top Shared Files.


You can also filter by specific file types, choose between a view of your Top 10 or Top 20 and adjust the date (range) of the report.


Email Sharing History

Select Email Sharing History from the list of reports. You will then be directed to metrics that reflect your Email Sharing History in a list view. To open the shared content you can click the hyperlink. 


Under Search by you can search your results by File Name or User.


Others Sharing History

Select Other Sharing History from the list of reports. You will then be directed to metrics that reflect your Sharing History for sharing options that are not included in any of the above reports (e.g. Slack shares). To open the shared content you can click the hyperlink. 


Under Search by you can search your results by File Name or User.
